Great dog food/treat website....
I just placed an order on http://www.doggiefood.com/
A good variety of dog foods, treats, etc with free shipping. What would have cost me $133 here, cost $89 online. Worth taking a look at if you feed brands like Wellness, Earthborn, Evo, Innova, etc. I think there are about 40-50 brands they offer.
Ultra and Sub-- I know you feed Evo. $49 for the biggest bag of the Turkey/Chicken variety. Red meat is $10 more which I think is quite a bit less then what you guys have said you pay. Free shipping/no tax.
No PPP, Diamond, etc but a good resource for those who feed other foods.

For me? Don't know and don't care. It's what I feed and it is cheaper so I bought it. If I had more dogs I would care but with just 2, doesn't matter. So how much per pound did the kibble cost?
Re: Great dog food/treat website....
It is easy just divide one number by another.jlp8cornell wrote:For me? Don't know and don't care. It's what I feed and it is cheaper so I bought it. If I had more dogs I would care but with just 2, doesn't matter. So how much per pound did the kibble cost?

Re: Great dog food/treat website....
Food cost what it cost. Price per pound should not matter as much as how well the dog does. Saves me about $20 a bag thanks to the sales tax in my area. Not including the 20 min drive to pick it up. I don't care if food is $.50 a pound or $5.00 a pound. I have enough money involved that I stopped caring a long time ago.
It's funny how you can have thousands in a dog and worry about how much food cost.

Re: Great dog food/treat website....
I think you will find that most of us are quite concerned with the price of feed. I don't like shelling out 40 bucks for dog food, 60 for pigeon feed, 10 for bird seed every month especially now that I have to pay 3.80 for gas to go get it and 40,000 for a truck plus I don't know how much for housing all of them. It is a big deal when most of us have better places to spend the money rather than waste it paying twice what we need to and get nothing back for it.ultracarry wrote:Food cost what it cost. Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Re: Great dog food/treat website....
Lol.
I didn't say anything about your operating cost. If you are so worried how about downsizing... does not make sense to shell out $740.00 to care for pigeons and your worried about spending 480.00 to keep your dogs healthy... seems like you may be confused. Unless you have dogs to train your pigeons.

Re: Great dog food/treat website....
Lol I buy them for 2.50 - 3.00 kill birds . A lot cheaper and done have to feed them. Or pay the 400.00 at the hunt club for the year and get free training birds and not have to worry about it
Re: Great dog food/treat website....
But you don't care how much they cost since you have thousands tied up inj your dog, remember?ultracarry wrote:Lol I buy them for 2.50 - 3.00 kill birds . A lot cheaper and done have to feed them. Re: Great dog food/treat website....
Yep. Money is money. You have to spend it on something. Rather send it on the dog then anything else. What's your point again?
Re: Great dog food/treat website....

Re: Great dog food/treat website....
The point of the original post is that for some people, depending on where they live and what is reasonably available to them, that on-line vendor may be a good option.
Ezzy, $40K for a truck? Does it fly?

You told him to figure it out himself - with a price only and no weight. DUH!jlp8cornell wrote:It is 1.48/#. That's all you need to know. You never mentioned the weight of the food.

But if you don't care what it costs then it was a rather pointless post.mcbosco wrote:The point of the original post is that for some people, depending on where they live and what is reasonably available to them, that on-line vendor may be a good option.

Just what we needed. Another "elitist birdhunter" who knows more than us old boys who have been feeding and hunting dogs for 40 years or more. If the shoe fits ------

Re: Great dog food/treat website....
I do care what food costs who said I didn't. My view of cost is more inclusive than others I believe. Tax and gas are expensive, so is my time, so if the food is cheaper on there and there is no cost to ship it and there is no tax, why spend the time buying it locally.slistoe wrote:But if you don't care what it costs then it was a rather pointless post.mcbosco wrote:The point of the original post is that for some people, depending on where they live and what is reasonably available to them, that on-line vendor may be a good option.
If you look at the cost of Earthborn Primitive on that site, it is cheaper than Pro Plan in my area if you include tax. So what rational person would pick Pro Plan?
