On average at what age do GSP's quit growing. My pup is 6 months old will she get much larger than she is now. I guesstimate her weight at around 45 lbs.

Full frame development is usually complete by 12 months, but most of the breed are 24 to 30 months old before they are fully filled out.

A book I have said females can get up to 55 lbs. I have no experience here just regurgitating what I read.

out of our three females...

1) 3.5yrs old and is 60lbs... Was pretty much "full grown" at a little over a year
2) 2yr old and is 45lbs... She has been growing since a pup and I noticed just over the last few months she is slightly taller and filling out in her chest and hips.
3) 1yr old and is 66lbs... This pup was HUGE at birth and has remained that way since. I sure hope she is done growing as she is already taller than her sire and dam (dog 1) and weighs as much as the sire (though she is not fat).

Now our two males...
1) 4yrs old and is 65-70lbs... He was pretty much done growing and filled out by 2yrs
2) 1yr old and is 45lbs... He is done growing for the most part. Has not gained any weight or height since 6months. He is filled out in his chest and hips.

Yep what they said ...

GSP's tend to come in many different sizes generally the size of the parents can give you an idea of what your pup will become..

My 1.5 year old male weighs in at about 60lbs. Figure we're done growing height wise but he's definitely got some filling in to do. Figure we might top out right around 65-70.

Ted, that is about the size of my 3yr. old Zeke and I have become kind of partial to that smaller size and, man, can he cover some ground in a hurry. :D
