Interceptor wormer

Post by C.painter » Thu Feb 02, 2012 1:58 pm

I am getting a new pup in March. The Breeder is currently worming the pups and said I should pic up the Interceptor wormer from Foster and Smith.

Just curious if folks had good results with this or any concerns.

If you want to use it, get it while you can. Novartis has suspended production due to some concerns at some of their plants. You may be able to find inventory online, or perhaps from your vet.

I would recommend using Nemex II. You can generally get it at any farm or pet store. I have wormed a couple of hundred puppies with it and never had a problem.

We used Safeguard from the local feed store. AAMOF it's labeled for goats, but it's identical to the stuff for dogs.

I use and am extremely pleased with Worm Protector 2x - Butterscotch flavored for palatability... Yum!
