Congrats to Dr. Tim

Post by mcbosco » Thu Mar 15, 2012 7:01 pm

Dr. Tim Hunt posts every once in a while and is always helpful.

Congrats are in order. Dallas Seavey became the youngest person every to win the Iditarod and his team is fed Dr. Tim's Momentum.

I watched the live streaming of the finish. While it was quite an accomplishment, I must admit I was a little disappointed to see dogs in clothes trot across the finish line. Guess I had an image of Leonhard Seppala lashed to the sled, tearing across the ice in blizzard conditions behind a towline of hairy beasts. Oh, well, congratulations to Team Seavey. :D

That's quite a satisfying experience for him. Congrats. Doc.

I think there were only a very few teams of Huskies that were running and many of the other crossbreds need some help in the temps they have to work in, hence the clothes.

No Red Lantern yet. Have to admire the team that takes that.

Thanks, guys and gals. Speaking of Red Lantern in '09 I had that distinction in the Iditarod and the trophy is truly a red lantern. It is amazing what you find on the trail when you are last-lots of booty!

For you or your dogs? Momentum is really good with milk and some honey at breakfast for yourself...

Egil Ellis actually just won the 3 day GCI Open North American Sprint Dog Championship in Fairbanks, Alaska today which many consider the fastest of all sled dog races. Team Momentum is having a darn good week.
