My brit has had some teary eyes on and off (mostly on) for about a month now, going to try terramyiacin(sp?) and will take her to the vet if that doesn't work. Eyes are not red and discharge is clear, but sometimes I'll catch my dog pawing at his eyes, everything else seems to be normal. Anyone have much experience with this in brittanys?

Check for dirt under the lower skin below the eye. Many dogs have loose skin there that lets them catch dirt and other irritants that will make the eyes water. That's one of the faults we look for in the conformation arena.

Could also be allergies. My pup has flair ups every now and then.

How old is the dog? We lost a dog here about 2 years ago before she pasted she got dry eye her eyes were wet but the tear ducts stopped working had to give her artificial tears. She too had discharge from her eyes and pawed at the as well.
