Glycocharge

Post by Scott Linden » Tue Oct 02, 2012 10:13 pm

As you might know, the latest advice on glycogen replacement suggests serving it in water (no food) within 15 minutes of the end of a hunt. I'm good with that, but some times my guys simply won't drink it. I can't imagine what it tastes like, and probably can sympathize. I'm thinking of adding some low-sodium chicken stock unless you have a better idea. Thanks.

Try very cold water and a plastic bowl, not a metal one.

Give it from a water bottle into the side of the mouth maybe.......
The second kick from a mule is of very little educational value - from Wing and Shot.

My dogs can't wait to drink it. They line up after a hunt waiting for me to bring it out like its a treat for a good hunt. Guess I just must have gotten lucky. I figured it tasted good the way they act.

Liver flavor ... yum. They love it.
