Best time to spay after pups

Post by Nebraska » Wed Oct 31, 2012 9:22 pm

My GSP is ~ 4.5 years old and had a litter of pups in June. We will breed the pup down the road but we won't be having any more litters with the dam. So, when would be the best time to spay her?

Whenever you don't need her for a couple of weeks.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Thanks Ezzy. For some reason I thought there might be other health risks involved depending on their age. If it's just a matter of needing time to recover, I'll probably just do it after the season's over......

Di it before she comes back in season or wait till afterwards is the only thing.
