eosinophilic myositis

Post by bawloffire » Thu Jan 31, 2013 5:16 pm

My three year old GWP was just diagnosed today with eosinophilic myositis. Anyone have any experience with this? I am having a hard time finding current information on it. Is the likelihood of him pulling through decent or are the odds against me? What should I expect/prepare myself for? Thanks for any help.

Try researching "Masticatory Myositis". You might find more info....

Good luck.

in my experience prednisone (steroids) are the only thing that will relieve it. I have a client right now that has a dog with it. we have had to do 2 courses of steroids in the last year. each time she responds well. last time was about 2-3 months ago, and no problems since. each dog is different, tho. good luck.
