Gold Bond for itching?

Post by roaniecowpony » Sat Mar 30, 2013 11:51 am

I'm dealing with some chronic itching with my pointer and was wondering if it's advisable to try Gold Bond on her.

I have no idea if it is advisable to use on your dogs but gold bond is one of the best things ever invented for humans. While I personally love the extra medicated in the green bottle I would use the yellow (unless there is something with less kick than the yellow) bottle on my dog if I was going to use anything

If you are not feeding fish oil I would try that. If I wanted to apply something on the dog you might try mastitus cream.

Yeah, she's on fish oil. Every meal now. I used to just give it a few times a week because she appeared to not tolerate it well. I went to a small cod liver oil pill. But its low on the omega 3 acids.. We'll see if she can handle the big costco pill every meal.

Don't know about itching but I have used it to clear up hot spots on dogs during the summer with good results.
