Urinates while sleeping?

7 mnth old female pup will urinate while sleeping. She has been spayed. Had vaginitis before being spayed, but is showing no signs of that anymore.

Seems to be worse if she is tired from a day in the field. Something that she should outgrow? Just seems like a lack of bladder control(?)

Probably need to see the vet. He/She will likley put her on an estrogen suplement. If I remeber right some females after being spayed have this happen, I dont remember the reason for it.

Spay incontinence is not unusual. I have a bitch that does the same thing once in a while. Mostly when she is really tired.

if this is something that has cropped up since the spay, then I would wonder about the "spay incontinenece". if she has done this ever since she was a pup, then the most comon reason would be an ectopic ureter. this can be corrected with surgery in most cases, I believe. i usually use phenylpropanalamine for "leaking" dogs, and wean them down to the most effective dose.
