My female is in heat as of today. Typically, I take her jogging for regular exercise. However, I am planning to breed her this cycle. The run is typically a 20-25 minute run at her pace with her leading the way and pulling 3-4 times a week. She gets regular free exercise in the back yard.
Should I continue her exercise regimen before and after breeding?
I was planning to enter her in a weight pull tomorrow and she came in heat today. She has never done this before however, she is in excellent condition. Considering she just started her cycle, and I plan to breed her, is the weight pull something I should just drop?
She was a little heavy in the spring and I cut back her food intake. She is now very lean, hard, and tight. Ribs and muscle clearly visible. Should I go ahead and start a slight increase in her food intake?
In heat - couple of exercise questions.

Moot point on the weight pull. Not allowable in competition. Found out ahead of time.

I would start upping her food now, especially if she's a hard keeper.
I have English Pointers because they don't ever grow up either...
