Front pads

Post by greg jacobs » Sun Dec 28, 2014 11:05 pm

Had the pup up in some rough steep rocky country. Got up into our first covey of chukar. A long climb at that point. Started to see blood on the ground. She looked normal moving uphill but didn't look right moving downhill. Got her over to take a look. Both front pads were missing a layer on the part of the pad that goes up between the four toes. We headed back down to the pickup which was a good distance down. She is walking on them but can tell they are sore. What kind of a time frame for something like that to heal up. Looks about the thickness of a bad blister missing and the size of my thumbnail on both front feet.

Thanks
Greg

Get some tuff foot, to help it heal and it helps in toughening pad's. An outfit named Nite Light used to carry it; I'm sure you can get it other places.
I would probably still put on the boots.
