Is there a dental chew I need to stay away from or one you guys recommend?

I was going to recommend Greenies, because we occasionally give them to our dogs as a treat. But before I posted I googled them, and it looks like some people have had some problems with them -- specifically with their dogs swallowing larger pieces that then don't get digested and cause an obstruction.

I don't think that is unique to Greenies. The same is true for a lot of treats, and it is the reason I don't give my dogs rawhide bones.

Pedigree Dentastix have caused some really bad issues lately with a friend of mine's SAR dogs. Bad sickness, hospitalization etc. Seems like this isn't an isolated instance either with the Dentastix.
