Keep your meds safely away

Post by Sharon » Sun Jul 05, 2015 4:22 pm

I left a jar of cortisone down .
Sure enough the 2 year - old - enjoys the snack. Noticed it too late to use hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting.
He has a few symptoms of cortisone over dose: throwing up off and on( no blood), increased thirst. .... No vomiting to day.
Still eating fine and energetic. Calling the vet in the morning just to talk about the situation.
Hoping there was no internal damage.( Poop is not black.)

My setters have never been interested in any human meds etc., but these JRTs ...

Geez. I hope everything "comes out" okay for the little stinker.

Our Jagdterrier ate a month's worth of my thyroid meds *and* my new eyeglasses in one night. They were on top of the microwave which sets on the counter. What kind of dog jumps from the floor to the countertop just to check out what's on the microwave?

Terriers are special :o
