Puppy Potty Stations

Post by oregon woodsmoke » Tue Jun 21, 2016 2:16 pm

I'd like to hear your opinions.

I've got a long flight with an 8 week old pup. Pup will have first vaccination. One stop midway after a long flight.

Airports now have pet potty stations, which is a lovely idea, but I am wondering about the wisdom of setting an 8 week old pup down where countless other dogs have relieved themselves.

All dogs in the airport will be there with health papers and vet screening before they fly, so there is that safety measure.

What I have done with dogs in the past is to take them into the lady's room with me, put down a wee-wee pad, and then clean up. --- But on the other hand, it's not like all the passengers have clean shoes. They could have been walking through anything before boarding their flight.

First leg is 9 hours, so the pup will be on wee wee pads in the airplane toilet. He'll have to figure it out if he doesn't want his little bladder to burst.
