Switch to 30/20

Post by GSPONPOINT32 » Wed Apr 26, 2017 6:28 am

I've made the switch to PP 30/20.

I was previously feeding focus which I believe is a 18/12 or singing similar. Large loose stools and the promise of increased performance led me to the 30/20. I've read numerous threads on here regarding feed but has anyone seen a significant increase in performance after switching to a higher protein formula? Is it September yet?Image

You very likely will find you will feed less and if you over feed you will likely see loose stool. Yes it will help no it is not Sept and that is a neat pic. Thanks for sharing.

I did the same from a different well regarded dog food, maybe a month ago. He's looking a little leaner, but not much. The biggest improvement is the stools. Less stanky, more solid.

It's been 1 week since he was completely rid of the focus. Stool is tighter and less frequent. (Pleased with that) energy level seems consistent. He ha started eating grass fairy regular in the field. Any thoughts on that? I've read everything from upset stomach to subconscious nutritional void. I'll post a before / after before fall for muscle and fat comparison. He's still growing at 1.5 years.

It takes a month or more to see much difference in condition.
My dogs seem to eat grass more in the spring. Have no idea why. maybe cause they can. In The old days they used to say it clean out the worms. but we don't have worms much now. It may just a inherited trait. I really doubt it being nutritional, since it mostly comes out like it went in............Cj
