Bloating

Post by Mosby » Wed Mar 09, 2022 7:47 am

Discussions about dog food and feeding hunting dogs prior to hunting is common and inevitably bloating is mentioned. Personally, I have never dealt with bloating and doubt I would have recognized the symptoms. I came across this reference guide on recognizing the symptoms of bloating and I found it helpful.:

Thanks for sharing. Fortunate to not have any personal experience with the condition. Knock on wood!

I had a dog bloat years back. Long ways from any Vet, by the time we got him in, it was to late. Died on the table. Not pretty!

Lost a PP to bloat. It was very bad. Not only feeding before activity, but right after can be problematic. My dog was fed 1 hour after hunt and then bloated.
