Bleeding...in heat

I'm keeping Bell, my GSP inside while she is in heat.. I have a crate....

Does anyone get a doggie diaper or anything to put on the dog?

If you want to keep your furniture clean, get one! Unless you get to the mess asap, it stains and doesn't come out. As her heat progresses, the blood will get darker, even harder to remove.

May sound crazy, but I bought some diapers, so I could bring here in.....

Seems to work ok, but they come off every SO often...

Yes we always use diapers. I cuts down on staining but also cuts down somewhat on the smell.

I took Bell to the vet today for boarding while I'm at work and she is in heat. Only $6 for 12 hrs. Not bad? I live too far away from work to go let her out of a kennel at lunch everyday....

That is a great price. And for what you can save in damages if she decided she wanted to get out and go crazy you have mad an extremely wise decision.
