Puppy and Birds - Pics

Post by midwestfisherman » Thu Mar 15, 2007 6:29 pm

Got little Billie out on some pigeons tonight. She's bold and has a nose for these things already! :) Flew 3 birds for her yesterday and had her chasing them. Did the locked wing thing tonight and then flew them for her. She flashed pointed one before diving in. Not bad for 10 weeks old.

Nice puppy. Ever seen a live pigeon teach a puppy to mind it's own business? If the pup get's ahold of the brest and those wind's come unfolded, you will.

Great looking pup. Looks like he'll be plenty birdy.

That's why you always closely supervise the pup and make darn sure those wings are locked well.

You should come down and train sometime. Tomorrow should be a good day. There is going to be 4-5 guys from the forum here getting together at my grounds in Delta, OH about 20 miles west of toledo.

ohio, tomorrow may work for me. What are the grounds like and would there be any birds there? Also, would you mind if I brought a friend with me?

Bring whoever you want. I think we are going to be out there at 11:00. Everyone uses my pigeons we just don't shoot them. People can bring shooters if they want though. I have a training permit. My grounds is pretty small 11 acres but I have 100+ acres to run the dogs behind the grounds. This is all bare fields but my 11acres has good cover. I will pm you.
