What is at the top of your list for the best piece of training equipment you ever bought or made? The item(s) you feel were worth every penny and you would buy again in a quik minute.

For me it's got to be the bird hoses: tethers made from a 1' piece of rubber hose with a weight in one end and a piece of rope on the other which attaches to the bird's leg with a rubber band. Throw the tethered bird into cover, later-when the dog points it, just step on the hose and pull the bird free in one motion. the rubber band breaks and away he goes!
Cost = 1-2 Dollars

Warning: if you use these on your good homers, be sure to go out to the loft and remove what's left of the rubber band or the bird's foot will die and fall off!

There are two pieces of training equipment I'd never want to be without again; A Tritronics ecollar and auto launchers.

I'm with GH, but my order might be opposite: Auto launchers and then ecollars.

For me it is the Delmar Smith "Command(Wonder) Lead," the check cord, the e-collar, than lastly the remote launcher and homing pigeons. I much prefer wild birds but the pigeons make for a nice substitute.

I would have to say a good pair of leather gloves.

No but seriously, for me I would say the "kick-cans" and then the obvious cc's and tri-tronic e-collar.

BTW- if you like the "wonder leads", next time you need one go to a farm and ranch store and buy a "piggin' string". It is the same thing for about 1/2 the price.

My first choice would be NAVHDA, and the people who trained me; one in particular is Thunderhead on this board. Next i would say e-collar since it also a safety device and then a home made healing stick my breader made me.

The chain gang with approx 18 inch drops...

The Command lead...(FYI Piggin string isn't the same they are tighter weaved and are desif=gned to make a larger loop with a bigger hondo you loose a lot Delmar had the command elad made to specs and yes they are made by the same ropin company)

A good leather collar with a welded deep d ring slides beter on the neck then nylon does for better check cord work

TT e collar i like the pro 100 momentary and continous same button I let my finger control the needed Cue.
