Smart Fetch

Post by ACooper » Wed Mar 05, 2008 8:10 am

I have force broken a few dogs in the past, and I am getting ready to do a whole batch more. the things is that it has been about seven years since I have done one and need a refresher and maybe some tips to better progress than last time, though my dogs did turn out pretty good last time.

Anyway has anyone seen these DVDs? What did you think?

Definetly hands down get one! Anything by Evan Graham is amazing! He does not brush over anything and there is no confusion on what to do for you or the dog! It really is amazing! :D

I guess I should have noted that I will be FF pointing dogs, will the dvds still be relevant? By that I mean is it mostly blinds and such?

As you watch the SmartFetch DVD's you will note a fairly high percentage of pointers - several different types. Train the dog you're training and you'll be fine!

I was afraid the videos had more on runnning blinds etc. But it sounds like just what I need.

So you know, SmartFetch is all about force fetching. It starts with the teaching of "Hold", then progresses to ear pinch for "Fetch", and goes through all the steps of FF up to force to pile.

From that point we show you how to start running Pattern Blinds (no handling yet). But there are also bonus chapters on forcing on real birds, artificial game birds, and different size bumpers.
