Training photos

Post by ACooper » Mon Nov 24, 2008 11:11 am

I have been working two pups that I kept out of the last litter that I raised, they are
5 1/2 months old.

Image
this is Abe, he has become completly psycho about birds. Showing LOTS of point and intensity.

Image
Abe again.

Image
This is Suzy she is better in the water and is a little more biddable, but not as intense as the male yet.

Image
This is Wiley he is an older dog that I am polishing up for my father, he is a half brother to Abe and Suzy (same sire) and these pups are showing all the natural ability that Wiley had as a pup.

Thanks, I am bringing them on slow with no pressure. They wear the shock collar only to get them thinking every time it goes on they are going to have fun etc. The only real formal command they are currently being worked on is "here". On the birds I am using several launchers and just pop the bird if pup decides not to point, they are learning to stand their birds well off.

Very nice dogs. I like it wwhen the dog is so intense that the tag end of their e-collar stands up stiff! That's staunch!

They are out of the two dogs in my Signature line. I cant even begin to say enough how proud of them I am so far. It also makes a HUGE difference in development when you can walk out the back door and start training.
