Hi all, brand new to the forum and to dog training. Unless you want to train the dog to ignore me and sleep on the couch all day. I've got that DOWN!
I'm getting a GSP pup soon and will be doing my best to train him for quail hunting. I would also like to train him for blood trailing as well, but that would just be a good bonus. No trials though.
Just had a new question. I was gonna bring him to the office with me everyday like I do my other dog. It's on 157 acres and that's where I was going to do any training. But, I also have lots of chickens running around and I was going to build my flight pen here to keep quail.
If he's here everyday he's gonna be smelling bird everywhere. Will that make him disinterested in bird scent in the field and mess up his training?
Will dog become disinterested in bird scent?
