Pre Season, Training Camp

Post by labman21 » Tue Aug 17, 2010 12:35 pm

It's been a really long time since I've visited the forum. In Montana we've got upland bird season just around the corner and waterfowl will follow shortly there after. My question is what should I be tuning up on with my dogs before this season starts?

Thanks for the consideration

How developed is your dog? What skills does he have?

Hi Evan it's been a while. My dogs are very solid with the basics all the way up to hand signals. One thing I've had trouble with though actually is getting them to sit by whistle at a distance. They know they should sit but they come back closer to me rather than sitting where they were. Sorry for the add on. Other than that my dogs are solid they just need experience now.
