Got a chance to take the pup out, (9 months old) on some pheasants on Saturday. Had 30 roosters to point along with another older dog. After running through the first bird he got the idea, was even backing the other shorthair. It was gratifing to watch the pup point, watch the bird down and bring it back to hand. Could even shout out "whoa" and he would freeze.....

who do you think had more fun you or him? took mine out this weekend also. first time on cock pheasants and had a blast.

Well I have been shooting pheasants for for 15 plus years, this was his first so I would say he did, but it was close!
