I take it if there are a butt load of DC's,FC's and Ch's in a pedigree, it's a good thing.

You have some pretty big Field Trial names there. What generation are they in, in your pedigree? I'm guessing 4th, 5th generation, maybe further back? The KS may be for Kleeman Sieger, the German Kleeman Test, I'd have to look up the others for you or you could look them up here -> http://www.nadkc.org/

Of course you know about the obligatory picture of your pup that you have to post for all of us to see?? :D

I have heard very little about the kennel you mentioned, but I do think they are "combining the Best US bloodlines with the Best German bloodlines".

I think they are attempting to capitalize on the Hege-Haus name from Germany as well as some of the icons of the FT world.

AHGSP, yes those names are back 4 or 5. Is that bad?

Ohio, I don't know about national, my papers just say FCH.

Jim,

A little off topic, but is Hege-Haus Kennel in Germany now defunct?

Yes, I believe so, but often times the pedigree may not reflect current titles.

Defunct is the incorrect term. The Owner, Frau Karin Stramman, died last year and with her the kennel "Hege-Haus". Her son has started his own kennel "Hege-Hof" with two of the remaining Hege-Haus females.

Nothing bad about that at all. Those dogs had an influence in what your pup will become, just like your Great-Great Grandfather had an influence in what you are. It is just a matter of how much influence...

That was what I thought I had understood, just couldn't remember the details on her sons new kennel name. Didn't mean defunct in a bad light, just wasn't sure how to put it better........
