Braque Frncais

Does anyone have a Braque Francais? I am currently training one. She is 5 1/2 months old.
She is already pointing, backing and retrieving to hand. All the articles I read about the breed prior to buying her
stated they are east to train. The Breeder also said the same. Has anyone had the same experiences????

What breeder did you get it from? My brother has two, both from a breeder in Jersey (I think). One of his dogs is very timid, the other a nut case! I am not sure how easy they were to train, but the timid one does not have much range, but is very obedient, the other.....well she is still a pup .

I got mine from Wade Landreville in Wisconsin. I looked at the Jersey dogs but something
didn't seem right.
My female is a pretty bold dog. She pointed 6 quail and a Phez on Saturday.

Wow that's awesome good for her ! there are some articles on the GunDog Mag site about them and the Bird dogs forever podcast show did a special about them.

I also have a 5 yr. old Brittany. I do love my Britts!!!! He is my fourth one. I decided to change things up a bit. I will always
have a Brittany.
