Rock on birds 4 months

Post by NorCalGSP » Wed Mar 23, 2011 11:43 am

Got Rock out today for some field time.Ran into a friend of mine who raises dove and used one to get Rock excited about birds. As soon as he smelled that thing a lightbuld went on in his head and he now knows that he wants birds. This pic if from some field time after we showed him the dove. He pointed and held for about 1min untill I walked up and jumped the bird :D This is my first bird dog so pardon me for my excitment for something you guys have seen a million times over. Image

I used the dove just to get him using his nose, as soon as he tried to get it I let it fly away. Im not sure what kind of birds they were he was pointing at kinda look like dove with square tails. Not a game bird for sure.
