Trainers in Washington State

Post by media310 » Wed Dec 07, 2011 6:24 pm

Can anyone recommend a trainer in Washington? I need to have my girl watched for the month of Jan and thought it would be a great time for her to see a local trainer. I got a quote of $3,000 which is way more then I could ever think of paying..

$3,000 for one month? That's insane. Sorry can't help you with a trainer in WA.

Quicksilver is R.J. Marquart. I also knew Dan Hoke years ago. I would recommend either, they are both very good!

Dan or RJ are excellent and the dude that claims to charge $3000 has sniffed far too many glue bottles.

Trena Cardwell is another trainer that you may consider. She's well known in the setter world.

Take a look at Doug over at upland dogs. He trained my dog and did really well. He listened to what my goals and uses for my dog would be and tried his best to meet the goals. It was 850 a month with him I believe

Hi , todd Manuel at snowqualmie river retrievers is a great guy, I'll be sending my male there when it warms up( I live in AK) he only charges $600 a month

You might want to give him a shot

Edited to add: he also trains pointers, the male that's going down is my avatar dog. He needs a brushup

There's also Tim Shillerif of Suave Island Kennels, very good pointing dog trainer with excellent facilities.
