Roading Harness Modifications?

Post by mcclinj » Sun Jan 01, 2012 10:26 am

I just got a roading harness for my year old GSP. The problem is, she's too small for it. Everything fits ok except for the band that wraps under her belly which I can almost wrap the whole way around to her back. I'm thinking of cutting the bottom band off and then having a tack shop make me a smaller piece for underneath.
Just wondering if anybody else made any modifications and saved some money from having a shop make adjustments.

I made a harness for my dog last winter - cost me the webbing ($5?) and took may be half an hour.
Before you sew it - make sure it fits the dog. I think I stapled the harness when fitting it - easy and fast to undo for adjustments.

I used for skijoring.
