bird intro (again)
ok, i have some homers that are prisoners that i'm try to breed, but would like to use them with bird intro are there any techniques that i could use, that would not hurt them, and not lose them either. to intro my young britt. pigeon pole? would this work? details? any other ways you could think of for intro? i would just like to get her on birds sooner then later! they havnt layed any eggs yet so it could be awhile yet until i have my own homing

If u are in Ifalls go find some woodcock right now or grouse... Beats the pigeons. Obviously they will be nesting soon so check your state regs first.

been out for a few "happy time" walks havn't bumped into a grouse or woodcock yet thats what i was hoping for

I'd second the walks but if you are set on using pigeons you could tie a string to ones leg and put the pup on a cc and have someone control the pigeon while you control the pup. Pigeon pole with a launcher could also work but make sure the pup is on a cc and controlled because that pigeon is going to land again once it is flushed.
