Roading setups for UTV
Roading setups for UTV
I would like to see pictures of your UTV's or side by sides with the roaring apparatus installed. I have an Kawasaki Mule that I would like to get set up for roading dogs from and need ideas.

I like DOCO's set up!

I need to see this as well. I have a 2010 Ranger and I need to figure out how to set one up.

Does this help? (The pole fits into the brush guard bar on the Gator.)
Re: Roading setups for UTV
Does your UTV have a tube front bumper? Could be as simple as U bolting 1-1/4 galvi. pipe for the receiver and 3/4" galvi. for the arm. Not a UTV, but you get the idea. Make sure you use nylon lock nuts on the U bolts other wise they tend to vibrate loose. Two wire lock pins through the receiver and arm make it pretty easy to take the arm off when not roading dogs.

No my rig has no front bumper. It does have a front receiver for a hitch. I may have to look into a front bumper.

Are you handy with a welder? It would be pretty easy to weld something up that slides into the receiver hitch. Maybe find a local welder and tell him what you want to do.Vision wrote:No my rig has no front bumper. It does have a front receiver for a hitch. I may have to look into a front bumper.

Re: Roading setups for UTV
My set up (just FYI - the Belgian Malinois is my wife's show dog, and the Poodle is the in-laws dog). Two roading bars, each slide into square tubing, use pin to hold bar in place...the bar in the rear is set higher for taller dogs. Use bungies to connect dog to bar to allow some "give" as the dog pulls against the bar. I then put a rack into the recieving hitch where I can put two 300 size crates, for younger dogs or to carry dogs to/from a quieter road.
