Looking for Pro Trainer for Force Fetch

Post by sammy1 » Tue Jan 22, 2013 11:27 am

I am from central Illinois and looking for a reliable trainer to force fetch my English Pointer. Willing to travel outside Illinois so any help would be appreciated.

You might want to look into just doing it yourself. Here is why

Ff is really easy. All you need is ten minutes a day, some dummies, and patience.
Follow a proven method like smart fetch and you will be done in a few short months. The bond you will build with your dog will be stronger then it is right now. No doubt.

Or pay a trainer $400 a month to work your dog for ten minutes a day and get the same results you would.

Just a thought.

Any trainer worth his salt doing FF is going to work that dog 3 times a day for 15 to 30 minutes.....

any trainer worth his salt is going to charge more than 400 a month and decide if the dog needs it three times a day  I FF in the am and again in the PM but three time a day is a bit much for some dogs. I would hope if you are going to pay someone they are doing more than FF your dog during that time.

shouldn't be doing anything but FF during FF.......

Most trainers have a flat fee around here for FF 600-800 bucks.

The going rates around here start at $400 all the way up to $1000. Depending on who you go to. I was just using $400 as a reference $.

Obedience goes along with ff training. Heel, come, and woah are all bettered during ff.

But for me paying someone to do something anyone can do themselves doesn't work for me. But to each his own.
I was just suggesting.

With a good program such as SmartFetch, by Evan Graham, it makes it a snap to FF yourself.
And it's a lot cheaper than having a pro do it.

setters pointers vizlas chesapeakes labradors .....3 times a day is fine and a good thing, how much pressure and how its applied may be too much for some dogs.

Most people with good dog sense can figure out and get thru FF, some folks should leave it to a pro......nothing worse than having great hope for an animal only to
flub it up and never get what you had hoped for. makes 400-1000 seem cheap over the dogs life, and your sanity.
