New to GDF and have enjoyed reading all the info on the forum. I recently rescued a 4-6 year old GSP and have been working with her on basic obedience and beginning to heel and whoa her. She runs big and I have been working her out a lot on a checkcord, mostly because I am worried about her recall. She doesn't seem to have been introduced to point and was definitely not trained early. She seems to be hunting for herself, biggest goal right now is getting her off the lead and working with me outside.
I know nothing about her past or breeding and am only putting bits and pieces together from how she handles training and outside. Any advice or direction would be appreciated! Thanks

Good luck with the training, and most of all im sure that dog is in a good place with you now. Im sure after some time and being around you she will develop a bond and start working for you.
