Distractions

I have a question. My 20 week old Vizsla pup and I will be working on "come" or working with a dummy when she will get completely distracted by the small white moths that fly up out of the grass. To the point of actually pointing them and chasing them.
Is this just a age thing? Or is there a way to work through this?

Are you shooting the moths, is the pup steady to wing?

I use a 410 for the moths. otherwise there is nothing left of them to eat
All joking aside have fun with the pup enjoy the stage while it lasts.

Thanks for the replies! I rarely actually hit any moths, maybe I should try something other than the Red Ryder!
Seriously, glad to hear that it is normal. I thought maybe my pup had ADD!

It's an age thing to be 'distracted' or interested in all things!...
At 20 weeks old ...''Come'' should already be installed above all distractions and attractions ,especially at chow time
....The moths can be as small or as big as like?
...Or working with a dummy, is a different situation
By the time , the attraction of ''come'' amongst other distractions , the dummy is just a passenger
(If you want a gundog).
Parlour tricks can be added if you decide another 'route'?
