Classic 70 G3 too powerful??

Post by troutbum13 » Sat Sep 21, 2013 7:58 pm

I had a sport forever, worked great, but i lost the transmitter, so I bought a new classic 70.

Put it on the lowest setting and dog got pretty vocal with just a nick, took it off and used it on myself felt like a pretty sharp pinch and that was through my jeans. On the old collar the lowest setting was more of a vibration...didn't pinch until 3 or 4.

Is this normal for this collar? Seems way too high except for the hardest of dogs.

I have the 100, but to me that sounds like too much. How many levels of stim are there?

I'd send it back to TT, and tell them exactly what it's doing. Request an adjustment or replacement.

+1 on sending it back.

I have a Flyway Special with 6 levels of stim. I can not feel the lowest level of stim on my palm t all and can barely feel it on the back of my hand or on my neck.

My classic 70 is the same way I contacted them a long time ago and was told thats how that model is designed

After they get stimmed and are believers I use the tone function 99 percent of the time

If they successfully dial yours down let me know and I will send mine in for the same thing

Thanks
currently two shorthairs, four english pointers, one Brittany, one SPRINGER a chihuahua and a min pin lol
