NC/TN Trainer Search
NC/TN Trainer Search
Hello there,
I've been on a search for a good trainer in the Western NC or E. TN for my one year old britt. Bernie has been on wild grouse, is gun broke, whoa broke, and retrieves like a dream (no FF yet). I would like a real pro to get a hold of him and let me know how things are progressing and what I have screwed up on. My limited search has found a couple "ifs"... but I'm looking for a sure fire pro that will help my dog reach his full potential. I added a couple of pics of Bernie.... haven't shown him off in a while.

After that take him to South Carolina and Mo. You won't do better.

Make it a plus 2, take him to Maurice!

Buy Mo's Book, "Training with Mo" then take him to Mo. Also take a look and Jonesy "tail cracken", I think he is in Kentucky.
PS, Great looking Britt. What is the breeding?

I can't agree more about Mo and Jonesy. Great people that truly understand the dog and training them. Going to either of them is a great idea.

Bernie's father was directly sired by Nolan's Last Bullett, his grandsire on the other side was Shambo's Dark Shadow (direclty sired by
shadow's freckled sue).
Bernie's mother was directly sired by Just Call Me Roy with the same Shambo lines on the other side.
Thanks for all the recommendations... any others are greatly appreciated. Planning on hunting him hard on grouse then getting him with a pro following the season.
Re: NC/TN Trainer Search
You got the best two recommendation you will get. Jonesy, in Berea Kentucky or Mo in western S. Carolina are as good as it gets. They do some work together and are able to bounce questions off of each other and that is a big help for anyone when working with dogs no matter how much you know.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

FWIW, I've had my dog Sis (sh'es a 2 year old britt) with Mo for a couple months now. I was about to send her out West to train when I heard about Mo. He's pretty much a legend in the bird dog world and I can't wait to see what he does with my girl
