I would like to introduce myself and a question
I live in Iowa and own Coon River Kennels. My business consists of training gun dogs. Living in Iowa I train a variaty of dogs, retriever breeds for waterfowl and upland, and pointing breeds for upland. I have run alot of hunt tests in the retriever games, but never in the pointing breed hunt test. Could someone explain to me the different levels of titles and what need to be accomplished to aquire each title? Thank you ahead of time for your help.
Welcome aboard Lab Man. I will wait and let someone else answer your question. If it doesn't happen I will try to fill you in.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

You can find all of the requirements for the pointing breeds on the AKC site. A brief description is that there are 3 levels. JH= Junior Hunter, SH = Senior Hunter, MH = Master Hunter. For Junior the dogs must show they want to hunt and then they have a bird field in which they need to establish but not hold point. Seniors must have a better desire to search out game, point , hold and honor and be staedy to wing, and retrieve. Master is the big dog do everything, point be bold and independant in searching game, point back retrieve, steady to wing and shot. There are things I missed I know just wanting to get you a little bit of info. Hope this helps
