confusing puppy?
hey everybody,
i have a 7 week old female pointer puppy. i work 8 hours a day and am forced to leave my pup. my girlfriend leaves off and on throughout the day and crates her for a total of maybe 3-4 hours during the day. so she has pretty constant attention. my question is, am i spending enough time with my puppy for it to realize im her master. i take her out, i feed her, and she seems to respond to me more than my girlfriend, but my girlfriend spends just much time with her as i do, if not more. is this going to affect her when i start training her later on? will she be confused?

Don't worry about it. Puppies are raised in family settings normally and spend much more time with the members that are home all day. She will think you are master as long as you let her know you are and the same with your girlfriend. Dogs can work with more than one person.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.
