I'm not being a jerk, but you live in Kansas, why do you need help getting the dog on birds????
LIFE WITHOUT BIRD DOGS AND FLY RODS REALLY ISN'T LIFE AT ALL.

I guess what I'm really asking is there someone with a seasoned dog that I can take him with to see how he does. I've walked alot of hedge rows and thickets but haven't seen alot of birds.

Probably because he don't know any one ?..
Is their not a club in your area that you can contact ?..Make contact and the offers should come if you give more than you receive .

There's a place called Lone Pine about an hour and a half north of you, just outside of Yates center. The guy there has brittanies and also raises birds. He might be able to help.

Is there anyone on here that might have some pigeons that I could buy from them. I just need to get some birds around this pup. I would really appreciate the help. I'm pretty new at the bird dog world.
