Rattlesnake avoidance

Post by isonychia » Fri Jun 22, 2018 8:20 am

The rattlesnAke avoidance guy will be around here on the 1st. I might be canceling my southern quail hunt this year and going to northern rockies states instead where snakes do exist but not sure what the extent will be. I would like to take my five month old britt to the clinic but I am also still trying to build his boldness, what should I do? Wait another year or go ahead and take him to the rattlensake avoidance training?

Iso, I have lived and work and hunted in the field in the Great Basin and Northern Rockies for close to fifty years. I've never seen a rattler after the end of Sept. while at work or ever when I was bird hunting. Doves and very early chukar and quail hunting is the time I'd be worried about. My advice is if your coming this way wait a year.
