Pleased with this young ones progression in training .
He was on his first driven shoot when he was 5 months old (in a beating line) .some thought I was crazy but they never knew the dog or the preparation before that first day for him.
I concentrated on him being calm and comfortable in and around game and other people with dogs at first , then worked on retrieving like you would with a Retriever during the summer.
At 16 months old he can take a straight line and stop on the whistle , has the softest mouth and is mute in any environment. Gets on well with any other dogs male or female and most importantly ..Is a great foot stool when I am having a wee dram in the big chair .
You would like him Wullie "Trekmoor" . He is the son of Radar .
Partridge season starts here next weekend ,so this covey of wild Greys got a visit ,just to shape some stuff up.
Wish he was mine , but I have enjoyed his company when he was in mine .
I probably just landed lucky ..with good one ..without any "wonder" .
