Spooner's first swim.

Post by 12 Volt Man » Thu Mar 08, 2007 6:48 pm

I made a quick trip to a local pond tonite. Spooner needed to be introduced to water. I wanted to see what he would do. We got him in the middle of winter and I really would have liked to have had him in the water before now. Since it has warmed up a bit, I decided to day was the day.

He was a natural. 8) We went in and was swimming like he had been doing it forever.

Picture's do not lie! Picture #4 show's the head start the pointer gave the lab. #5 show's the pointer already caught the lab. #6 show's the pointer clearly beating the lab to the buck and #7 a big win for the pointer!!!! :D

A smart pointer would have let the lab get it then take it away at the beach. LOL :P

One thing that I have learned from many great "water" Pointers is that they take all that ground speed to the water. They can swim circles around most breeds, literally! They look like otters!
