Training dummy

Post by Colleen » Sun Nov 14, 2004 12:24 am

We are taking Fletcher to a trainer to teach us (to teach him) how best to steady him up.

He is a retrieving nut, but I have hard-mouth concerns. He is more gentle with birds than with balls, dummies, etc.

However, this dummy from gundogsupply looks pretty good for modified force-fetch. Has anyone used them and/or what do you think?

It should work. I started bell's FF with a hair brush handle and it worked fine. Good Luck! =)

We tried a hair brush, a plastic scrubbing brush, but he bit the crap out of them anyway. Psycho.

For FF I prefer the molded dumbell make out of hard plastic. It`s easy pick up and fits their mouth well.
