Bird Question

Post by Dude » Mon Dec 17, 2007 9:53 am

I'll be getting a dozen quail this weekend from a friend that I plan to use for some training. I was wondering what I would y'all recommend for transporting them and keeping them overnight. I'll be getting them on Saturday and training with them on Sunday. Any leftovers will be ate so I'm not looking to keep them an extended period of time. Just one night. Will they need water and food for that short of time.

Thanks
Dude

Put some wet lettuce in the box with them. That should give them food and water to last 24 hours.

I use a wire cage or small pet porter. If you put them in a cage don't put anything under it that you want to keep. You could also use a sturdy cardboard box with holes for short amounts of time.
