NGSPA Nationals question
Most know that the NGSPA Shooting Dog at Booneville was cancelled. I have heard some talk about options, cancel the event for the year, run it in Montana, run it somewhere else. I wanted to ask if anyone had heard a rumor that the board might move the event to Eureka, on one of the local ranches to run right after the GSPCA Nationals???? Seems logical as most who entered the March event in Arkansas would be there already, save on diesel, etc.
Thoughts? Rumors?

Spoke with Yates a week or so ago. Said the board was going to hear options and vote on it next meeting. He was really going on about running it after the Sharptail.
Jerry is right - dropping Don a line is probably the best way to find out.

I wonder if they’ve given any consideration for running at Ardmore, Ok? Not too far from Booneville and somewhat more centralized. Good facilities and I’ve heard those grounds have been getting better each year.

I agree wirh Rodger that Ardmore would e the better place. Have all necessary for a national, 3 one hour courses and good facilities for man and horse and dog.

Jerry, Mr. Kidd may have already considered it, but I sent him an email all the same.
Sooooo, if it does happen to move to Adrmore you can thank/blame me.

Re: NGSPA Nationals question
First, there isn't a date available for the rest of time as we know it at Ardmore. No shot!!
Eureka will have all the same pros and amateurs who had dogs entered originally there right after nationals, great grounds, central location, could even move it to the Brit grounds if needed.
Sharptail would involve a ton of travel, many of the pros won't be up there, it seems it would give an advantage to those few who will be there anyway.
It was no one's fault they canceled the event, but it should be at a fair even playing field location imho, where most can run who were originally entered.

Re: NGSPA Nationals question
The decision was made at the Board of Trustees meeting yesterday in Council Bluffs to cancel the event for this year. There were a number of options considered, but the primary issue was that the fall schedule is already very full. Running it at Eureka would mean the pros would have to stay a fourth week, and they are all pretty tired of being on the road at that point.
