AKC Event Results & Reporting

Post by Elroy's Bandit » Sun Jun 08, 2008 9:24 pm

Anyone know what the timeframe is to report field trial results to AKC? What happens when trial results are not reported to AKC? Is it standard to have event results not reported 1 month after the event finished ? Looking for some insight.

A field trials results must be into AKC within 7 days of the finish of the field trial. There is a monetary fine for non compliance.

Monetary to the trial host, I'm sure. Does the AKC assure that placements / points are awarded to proper finishers no matter the length of time? Thanks

I've never waited longer than 7 days to get my results into the AKC, so I can't say what would happen if someone waited a month. The host club gets penalized $25 and $5 per day for every day late.
I would hazard to guess that the AKC would not penalize the competitors for the event secretary's lack of timeliness and would record all placements and points properly.

On that note - the AKC isn't always the fastest about processing paperwork. I've sent in trial results on time and not had them show up on the AKC website for a couple of weeks.

Bill,

I have discovered it is not uncommon for a time period of a couple of months having expired before the AKC reports event results.

The GSPC of Michigan Trial results are now posted on the AKC events and awards search site.
