Keith & I just got finished judging the 08 Jayhawk Derby & Shooting Dog Championship yesterday. Has been going on for 7 days. Sorry I can't remember some of the dogs' names but the Derby was won by Scott Miller, 2nd & 3rd was won by Chuck Stretz. The Shooting Dog Championship was won by Marvin McDowell and Fearless Lil Bit (pointer female) and runner up was Chuck Stretz w/ Purplelines Trigger (pointer male).
We had a lot of fun despite a few days of super cold windy and rainy days. Met and remet a lot of great guys. Ones that were there were Scott Miller(MO), Terry Smith (OK),Jerry Hailey (MO), Chuck Stretz (MO), Marvin McDowell (KS), Drew Zink (KS), Jeff Freeman (KS), Dean Lord (TX), Shawn Kinkelaar (IL), Harold Gearhardt (MO).

Re: Jayhawk Shooting Dog Championship & Derby
Robbi and Keith,
I came and rode the day on Wednesday last week to watch my setter (Bud-handled by Drew Zink). Have to commend you guys on the effort it takes to look at 60 dogs in the conditions that were presented, just wish mine would have had his manners together for another 40 seconds
But those are the breaks as you know. Look forward to seeing you down the road.
Thanks,
Greg Morgan

Greg I remember your boy, it was a shame that that happened. I enjoyed watching him and feels he's got a lot for you and Drew to look forward to in the near future.
