Amateur winner was JimKath's Havoc owned and handled by Jim Yates

Runnerup was Council Mountain Buzzsaw owned and handled by George Wilson

Buzz was the winner last year and is a very nice dog, I have not seen Yates dog but he must be really nice as well. Congratsulations to the winners.

Congrats to Jim Yates! I believe that Havoc dog is the same dog I saw John Steger handle at Wye Island...very nice dog! Also, congrats to Buzz another repeat performance.

I rode Jim's brace. That dog did a really nice job and so did Jim, and it couldn't have gone to a more deserving guy.

Stitch was out of Georges Roustabout dog and Dennis Pennington's Brandy bitch, 2 NAFC's. Dennis bred the litter..Brandy also produced Art Cox's Ivy dog as well. Bred Brandy to Where you Ben as well, that produced Dennis' Jakes dog sire.

Not for sure on Buzz's ped....I'll ask around..He's a good looking dog though

Buzz is by George's Buck X Rick Dodge's Dixie.

Buck, FC Born to Buck Bad Luck, is by Rocky's Ace in the Hole ("Sly") owned by the late Larry Brecht, a dog known mainly in our parts for competition success in open AF venues - won the Nat'l Am Chukar SD if I remember right. Buck's dam is FC/AFC Hytailed Shilo V Verrige.

Dixie, FC AFC Rawhide Dixie Lee Clown MH, goes back to...well her name mentions the notables.

The Idaho boys are having a good spring with George, Rick, Steve Pasas, and Dean Crabbs all putting dogs in the NGSPA SD winners circles. That's why I'm sticking to trying the AA stakes and open breed Ch's -stay outta the way 'o that train!!

With Buzz, George has always produced very competitive and great dogs who are winners. He is to be congratulated along with Yates who is just a tremendous and dedicated trialer, will help anyone at just about any time. Both of there guys are good for the business.

I understand that this will be Buzz's last championship as George is retiring from trialing. That will be a loss for all of us who run dogs.

Congrats George.

I noticed in the pictrue the NGSPA jacket does anyone know if they can be purchased to support the organization or are they for the winners only? do they have ball aps as well?

When will they wrap up the Shooting dog?

They can be purchased, but they make the jackets and caps up just for the Championships so there is not a big supply. They are sold on the grounds. The shooting dog will probably wrap up Monday, but it is weather dependent.
