Greater Phoenix Brittany Club Trial

I would like to thank the members of the Greater Phoenix Brittany Club for putting on a great trial last weekend. I traveled the 1700 mile round trip with Wildrose, and we had a fairly successful weekend. I loved the grounds. For a flatlander like me, it was a special treat running dogs up in the mountains like that. The club members went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and I'm very grateful. You guys are great.

In the open limited gundog with 22 entries, Charlie took first with his new FC Rocky Hill Duke Wood (Charlie's 2nd FC this spring). I took second with my Ace dog, and Bernie Stokes took fourth with his Taz dog. I'm sorry I can't remember who took third. Duke is just a three year old in his first broke dog season. He finished his FC in a grand total of five trials this spring. He won three of them and took a second in a 29 dog stake in another.

Charlie also took a fourth in the open gundog with his wife's little Brittany, Jonah. I picked up three puppy placements with a couple of Ace's sons as well.
